Job Fair at SCBC: foreign language and trade grads in great demand

On November 26, a comprehensive job fair for graduates of 2021 took place at the sports field of South China Business College. This was an online/offline-synchronized campus job fair supported by Guangdong province’s Smart Platform tailor-made to serve University Graduates to find jobs or initiate business. Over 10,000 job opportunities were made available to graduates of SCBC by more than 550 online recruiters and more than 210 offline recruiters.  

Among the offline recruiters, many are well-known enterprises in and out of Guangdong province, including Suning E-buy, Shangri La Hotel, China Hotel, Vita milk, Yili Group, SF Express, Debang Logistics, etc., offering opportunities to job-seekers who major in foreign languages, foreign trade, management, education, computer studies, journalism and so on. Executive President Wang Hua, Vice President Xu Zhichao, also CPC secretary at SCBC, and Vice President Lai Zhili came to check on the Job Fair. 


 

Alumni Association of the School of Economics founded

On November 21, the Alumni Association the School of Economics was founded in the presence of Mr. Lai Zhili, vice president of SCBC and vice president of SCBC General Alumni Association, Mr. Huang Hancheng, secretary of CPC Committee of the School of Economics, and Ms. Weng Lin, general secretary of SCBC General Alumni Association.

In the ensuing alumni get-together meeting, Vice President Lai Zhili congratulated on the establishment on behalf of SCBC and extended his appreciation to members of the preparation committee. Then he introduced the progress SCBC had made in such areas as teaching, research, and faculty building and the plans for SCBC’s future development. He pointed out that the establishment symbolizes a great step forward of SCBC’s work on alumni programs, as the new chapter, the 14th of its kind, is the first to name after a school. He hoped that the Alumni Association of the School of Economics play an exemplary role in serving the alumni, the college, and society at large, and exert its influence as a platform of “communication, friendship, and development” to inspire love, sharing, and cooperation so that the spirit of SCBC can spread farther.

Wen Lin hosted a meeting to deliberate the membership of the first committee of the Alumni Association of the School of Economics, the members of which were approved by vote after deliberation. 

In the meeting, Vice President Lai Zhili and Professor Jiang, dean of the School of Economics, handed the alumni flag to the newly founded chapter and accepted the gifts from the alumni. Mr. Huang Hancheng presented letters of appointment to the committee members.
