现任环太平洋客观测试协会(PROMS)中国大陆秘书长、曾任教育部高职院校外语教学指导委员会委员、广东省大学英语四、六级副总主考;教育部考试中心大规模考试命题人员、军队考试中心顾问。
张权教授常年从事计算机化的认知测试、试题的项目分析和试题等值技术的教学与科研工作,是教育部考试中心高考(语、数、英三科)十年等值科研项目(1990-1999年)的实际数据分析专家;是美国ETS邀请的首位中国大陆高级访问学者、美国UCLA高级研究学者(2006-2009年)。
2019年作为首席专家,带领团队结合人工智能应用开发了Rasch-GZ项目分析和试题等值系统,获得《国家版权局计算机软著权登记证书》,该系统可以自动生成任何一种用户希望使用的语言,目前在环太平洋地区和国家学术界普遍使用;在国内外学术期刊发表论文数十篇;在Spring Nature、Taylor & Francis等世界一流出版社出版专著、译著多本,是国际上多家SSCI期刊(Educational Psychology, Frontiers等)的常年审稿人。在Rasch模型研究与应用方面得到国际同行的普遍认可。迄今为止已培养语言测试研究方向的硕士、博士研究生数名。
Professor Zhang Quan (Ph.D.), is a visiting professor at South China Business College (SCBC) of Guangdong University of Foreign Studies. He currently serves as the Secretary-General of the Pacific Rim Objective Measurement Society (PROMS) for mainland China. He has previously served as a member of the Foreign Language Teaching Steering Committee for Higher Vocational Colleges under the Ministry of Education, and as the Deputy Chief Examiner of CET-4 and CET-6 in Guangdong Province. He has also been a veteran test item producer for large-scale examination at the Examination Center under the Ministry of Education and a consultant for PLA Examination Center.
Professor Zhang Quan has been engaged in teaching and researching in computerized cognitive testing, item analysis test equating techniques for many years. He is the key member undertaking practical data analysis for the ten-year MET equating project (1990-1999) sponsored by the National Education Examinations Authority (Chinese, mathematics, and English). He is the first senior visiting scholar (2002) from mainland China invited by ETS and a senior research scholar at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) (2006-2009).
In 2019, as the chief expert, Prof. Zhang led a team to have successfully developed and updated the Rasch-GZ system for item analysis and test equating. Incorporated with AI applications, the system has obtained the Computer Software Copyright Registration Certificate by the China National Copyright Administration. The system can automatically generate any language that users prefer to have in the output files, thus widely used in academic circles in the Pacific Rim countries and regions. Apart from this, Prof. Zhang has published dozens of papers in both domestic and international academic journals, several monographs and translations in the world-class publishing houses such as Spring Nature and Taylor & Francis. Ever since 2012, he has been serving as a perennial reviewer for several SSCI journals such as Educational Psychology, Frontiers, etc.). Prof. Zhang’s research and application in the Rasch model have been widely recognized by international peers. So far, he has supervised several MA and PhD students in the field of language testing research.
