According to the semester’s teaching schedule, the Sports Meets are to be held in November for the fitness and health of staff, faculty and students, as well as the enrichment of campus life. Now SCBC has decided on the following arrangements with regard to the 10th Sports Meets:
1. Time and Venue
(1) The Sports Meet for staff & faculty: November 7, 2013 (Thursday)
(2) The Sports Meet for students: November 8 and 9, 2013 (Friday and Saturday)
(3) Venue: Track & Field Stadium
2. Participants
(1) The Sports Meet for staff & faculty: All staff and faculty
(2) The Sports Meet for students: All faculty and students
3. Opening Ceremony
(1) The opening ceremony of the Sports Meet for staff & faculty is organized by the Labor Union and to be held at 8:30, November 7 at Track & Field Stadium.
(2) The opening ceremony of the Sports Meet for students is to be held at 8:30, November 8 at Track & Field Stadium.
4. Requirements
(1) The Sports Meets constitute an important part of both teaching and learning in this semester to which all departments and divisions should attach great importance. Please mobilize and encourage wider participation. Meanwhile, take precautions to protect participants’ safety by offering proper training and practice.
(2) The Sports Meets days are normal work days (counted in the workload for full-time faculty). All staff and faculty must check in on November 7 and 8, and faculty with assigned work must check in on November 9. Unapproved absence is not allowed. Human Recourses Department will have a strict check on work attendance. All departments should strengthen the mobilization of students and get them involved in the Sports Meets. Students’ unapproved absence from school is also not allowed.
(3) The Labor Union, the organizer of the Sports Meet for staff and faculty, will be responsible for the agenda and other related matters.
(4) The 5:20 commute bus on November 7 and 8 may be adjusted according the course of events on the day and will start from the North Gate. The commute bus on November 9 will run as usual.
(5) All divisions and departments should be prepared to resume classes in case of postponement of the Sports Meets due to bad weather.
