SCBC Holds Talk on Internship Projects in Tanzania
On July 5, a Tanzanian internship projects talk was held at SCBC. Present at the meeting were Mr. Li Dong, secretary of CPC Committee, Mr. Lai Zhili, vice president of SCBC, and Mr. Zhan Huantai, a representative from Group Six International Ltd.. The two sides probed into the possibility of paid-internship projects in Tanzania and discussed some related issues of cooperation. According to Vice President Lai, SCBC has always attached great importance to the cooperation and exchange with overseas counterparts or other organizations. Now SCBC has already started several paid-internship projects in partnership with organizations in America and Japan. If the students’ safety in Africa could be guaranteed, he hoped that such paid-internship projects would enable SCBC students to understand different cultures and better prepare them for their future career.
Mr. Zhan introduced his company to the meeting and explained in good details such aspects of the “Internship Projects in Africa” as the requirements, fees, nature of work, working hours and accommodation.
SCBC Student’s Article Published on Japanese Newspaper
On July 8, an article entitled “Japanese Have Strong Consciousness of Waste Classification” was published on The Mainichi Shimbun (“Daily News”), one of the three major newspapers in Japan. The author of the article, Ms. Chen Yu, a student of Japanese from Grade 2009 of SCBC, expressed in Japanese her experiences and opinions as a foreigner in Japan, with such brevity, clarity and preciseness of language that surprised her SCBC’s Japanese teacher, Ms. Satomi Miyata, who also spoke highly of SCBC students’ active performance as a foreign student in Japan.
In April this year, Ms. Chen Yu started her study of business at the College of Business and Communication in Japan. At present, she also works part-time after school at Ito-Yokado, a Japanese general merchandise store, to put her business knowledge into practice and improve cross-cultural communications skills.
